Montreal is such a wonderful city for street photography, and the architecture creates striking shadows at the right time of day.

The Roof

Once upon a time when there used to be offices, I would often travel from my home base in Toronto to Montreal, generally staying at the same hotel. I usually asked for an upper floor so I could get the best aspect for the shots I always took while there.

Lost in a moment

As the scumbag who murdered 10 people on the streets of Toronto goes to trial, these pictures were taken a week later at the memorial site where people had laid flowers, toys and messages. I took it in black and white to remove the distraction of the colours.
